Well in the US, the new BMW Z4 will be sold entirely with an eight-speed automatic, but elsewhere, specs are a bit different. The Z4 is vigorous, aerodynamic, tempting force that exists to please your love of driving. The All-New BMW Z4 Roadster represents everything a roadster should be. BMW has co-developed with Toyota which results this new Z4. The Toyota new Supra coupe also has the same architecture. Toyota is engaging and devoted petrol-head, boss, Akio Toyoda, asked his guys to turn up the heat on the car following a drive in a prototype.
Bigger and comfortable
The convertible part just takes 10 seconds, and can happen while the car is driving at speeds up to 25 mph. The Z4 has leather-trimmed seats that are plenty comfortable and supportive for a long day of spirited driving. While move down to the center console it has an electronic gear selector, with drive mode buttons to the left and infotainment controls to the right. Car has a large dial manages BMW’s latest iDrive 7 infotainment system, perched in a 10.25-inch display atop the dashboard.
The Z4 sDrive30i is powered by BMW’s latest 2.0-liter turbocharged I4. With 255 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque, the sDrive30i offers more oomph than the sDrive28i it replaces. While coming to Z4 M40i, the version with which the Supra will share its engine. It got a turbocharged, 3.0-liter I6, good for 382 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. BMW says the M40i will sprint to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds.
Overall the new BMW Z4 has inline 4-cylinder Twin-Power Turbo. Displacing just 2.0 liters, this 240-hp marvel generates 260 lb-ft of torque at just 1250 rpm. It has BMW’s High Precision Direct Injection, Valvetronic and Double VANOS technologies, and is 20 percent more fuel efficient than its 6-cylinder predecessor.
On the other hand, the sDrive Rear-Wheel-Drive System: the Rear-wheel drive permits near-perfect equal weight distribution, delivering exhilarating power more precisely. Weight shifts to the rear wheels during acceleration, improving traction, while front wheels that are independent of the drive force deliver smoother handling.
